Threat Model

This application uses a strict Serverless Peer-to-Peer (WebRTC) architecture. Before initiating a session, you must understand how your data is routed.

What this DOES do:

  • Zero Retention: Messages exist only in browser RAM and vaporize when the tab is closed.
  • No Middleman: Pure P2P encryption. We have no servers to log or surrender your data.
  • E2E Encryption: Traffic is heavily encrypted in transit between browsers via DTLS/SRTP.

What this DOES NOT do:

  • Hide Your IP: Direct P2P requires IP routing. Your peer can see your IP address. Use a VPN for anonymity.
  • Prevent Screenshots: Burn timers delete data from the screen, but cannot stop device-level captures.
  • Secure the Handshake: If the Invite Link or Response Code is intercepted out-of-band, the session can be hijacked.
